Established in 2010, Nişantaşı University (NU) is both new and the most rapidly increasing university in Turkey. According to the vision of NU, international (EU and non-EU) cooperation projects are inevitable for the internationalization strategy. 
   The aim of Nişantaşı University is for each individual in the school community, regardless of gender, race, culture and background, to reach their full potential in an inclusive environment. High expectations of teaching, learning and behaviour are reflected in the excellence and enjoyment is the emphasis of our philosophy.
   The strategic targets mainly focus on mobility activities for students, staff and lecturers as well as on internationally oriented curricula, internationalization at home and various non EU study abroad possibilities with transnational degree programs.
   Offering an intercultural environment to our students is one of the principles for Nişantaşı University that since the establishment in 2010, we become a part of AIESEC which is the world's largest youth-run organisation in over 113 countries with over 86,000 members. Between 2010 and 2016 we have hosted 14 interns from Ukraine, Greece, Colombia, Russia, Poland, Kenya, Italy and Tunisia so far. NU provided them free Turkish language course during their internship. The interns carried out listening and speaking activities in the Preparatory School in an intercultural learning atmosphere both for our students and foreign interns.  
   We also encouraged the social intercultural experience. That is why we developed a project called 'Meeting of Cultures' to build a bridge between our students and international students that they can experience different cultures. While they were here in Istanbul, they presented their cultures to NU students. Each participant is assigned a host who was responsible from their accommodation of the participant and a buddy who was responsible for guiding the participants for daily and cultural issues. With this project we had 24 participant students (between the ages of 18-25) from 14 countries such as Romania, Georgia, Macedonia, Russia, Peru, Ukraine, France, Poland, Lithuania, Italy, Egypt, Bulgaria, Pakistan and Azerbaijan.   
   Nişantaşı University accredited by Turkish National Agency as a Eurodesk contact point in April 2013. Eurodesk is the main provider for information about European policies and opportunities not only inside the university but also in high schools in the region. As Nişantaşı University International Office we have determined plans to organize activities with universities and high schools like seminars, meetings, different games for young people and to give information about youth mobility projects.
